Deciduous shrubs provide food and nesting sites for birds, attractive flowers and fruits, and a variety of foliage textures and colors from spring to autumn. Join us to learn how to find the best shrubs for your landscape.

To Be Covered

This six-hour course is designed to teach the identification and usage of deciduous shrubs that are hardy in Pennsylvania. For each plant we will discuss physical morphology, site requirements, landscape value, as well as any common insect pests or disease.

All participants will receive a full-color identification manual on deciduous shrubs.

Credit Information

  • This class qualifies for landscape architecture CEU's and is applicable for commercial landscapers.
  • Each session counts for 2 CEUs for certified arborists and 2 CEUS for Pennsylvania Certified Horticulturist.
