About The In-Person Workshop
Put on your boots and join the Master Watershed Stewards for the Wetlands Bird Walk Series, an engaging exploration of the sights, sounds, and signs of birds native to wetlands across the PA Wilds. Scheduled throughout the year at a variety of locations, this series offers opportunities to observe a wide range of species in their natural habitats. A Master Watershed Steward volunteer will guide each walk, sharing information about the birds encountered, offering tips for bird identification and photography, and answering questions along the way. Whether you are new to birding or looking to sharpen your skills, these walks provide a welcoming, educational outdoor experience.
Please be prepared for wet conditions and wear appropriate footwear and clothing. Most walks are reasonably easy, but some will be longer and more challenging. For specific information about hike difficulty, contact program organizer Travis Wingard. Although offered as a series, each session is standalone, and participants are welcome to attend any individual walk. Collectible Master Watershed Steward stickers will be available for those who join us. Funds received from these programs support Master Watershed Stewards of the PA Wilds programming and conservation projects.
