To Be Covered

The first and most important step in weed management is the proper identification of the weed. Extension Educators Ruth Benner and Sandy Feather will lead a two hour outdoor weed identification walk.

This workshop will provide resources on weed identification, cover important weed families and highlight critical species that are concerning to Pennsylvania green industry professionals.

We will look at native and invasive species of weeds in turf areas, ornamental beds, and roadsides. We will look at undesirable woody species as well. Management of the weeds with Integrated Pest Management (IPM) and herbicides will be discussed.
