About the Workshop

Pedal through history and nature with the Master Watershed Stewards and the Lancaster Conservancy on a 2.5-hour educational bike tour along the Northwest Lancaster County River Trail. This approximately 15-mile, out-and-back ride from East Donegal Township Riverfront Park to the Fisherman's Wharf Trail access in Falmouth highlights the region’s watershed features, geologic history, and the evolution of the trail itself. Designed for casual riders, the fully paved route includes scheduled stops, a water break, and insights into the area’s natural and cultural significance. Helmets are required, and any road, mountain, or gravel bike will do. After the ride, enjoy locally sourced snacks and a recap of the journey. Join us for Water Ways on Wheels, a Penn State Extension Master Watershed Stewards program that connects cyclists with the rich environmental and historical landscapes of Lancaster County.

Space is limited. Preregistration is required.
