About the In-Person Workshop
Take part in a hands-on conservation effort with Penn State Extension and the Penn State Agriculture and Environment Center's Greening the Lower Susquehanna Program during "Volunteer Stream Repair: Live Stake and Tree Planting." Participants will stabilize an eroding stream bank by installing live stakes and planting native trees—practical, low-cost techniques that quickly establish vegetation, strengthen soils, and improve water quality. This educational volunteer experience offers a meaningful way to support local waterways while gaining real-world knowledge of stream restoration practices that benefit wildlife, downstream communities, and the health of the Lower Susquehanna watershed.
