About The In-Person Workshop

Join Penn State Extension for a hands-on opportunity to contribute to the health of our waterways at the Volunteer Riparian Buffer Planting event! This event offers a chance to plant tree seedlings as part of a riparian buffer, a vital environmental strategy that helps protect and improve water quality. Riparian buffers are one of the most cost-effective and impactful ways to reduce erosion, filter pollutants, and preserve our natural water systems.

This event will take place rain or shine. Please dress for the weather and expect to get muddy. We recommend wearing boots and work gloves and bringing sunscreen, bug spray, and a water bottle.

This event is held in partnership with the Tri-County Conewago Creek Association, a nonprofit focused on preserving and enhancing the Conewago Creek Watershed through education and community involvement.

This event is being offered at no charge to participants.

Space is limited. Preregistration is required.
