Urban Farmers Market Workshop: Accepting Nutrition Benefits
Accepting Nutrition Benefits* is the second workshop in a three-part Urban Farmers Market Workshop Series hosted by Penn State Extension in partnership with The Food Trust and Urban Tree Connection and made possible by a grant from the USDA’s Farmers Market Promotion Program (FMPP). This workshop will review how growers can accept Supplement Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) benefits, Farmers Market Nutrition Program (FMNP) and Senior FMNP checks at markets and on-farm stands, and how get involved in programs like Philly Food Bucks. Hear from your fellow urban growers about how they decided to opt in and learn about their successes and challenges in accepting these payments.
