Updated Resource Guide Supports Pennsylvania's New Farmers
Developed in collaboration with various partners, including government agencies, educational institutions, and nonprofit organizations, the Pennsylvania Beginning Farmers Resource Guide is a centralized support hub. It highlights the many resources available to help launch and grow a successful farming enterprise.
Even expert farmers may discover new avenues of technical assistance, funding, and organizational support they had not previously encountered. Whether searching for grants, exploring financing options, or needing guidance on where to begin, this guide is invaluable.
Each guide section includes a link to spreadsheets detailing contacts and services. Topics include business planning, marketing, funding, land access, conservation, tax guidance, equipment, food business development, and more.
As always, Penn State Extension remains a trusted first stop for educational support. The "Starting a Farm" page is an excellent place for those just starting their journey.
