Updated ACAP Reporting Tool Support Website

Center for Ag Conservation Assistance Training releases new ACAP reporting tool website with new and updated features

July 24, 2024

The Center for Agricultural Conservation Assistance Training (CACAT) is excited to announce that a new support website is available for the Agriculture Conservation Assistance Program (ACAP) Reporting Tool. This support website will serve as a resource for Pennsylvania county delegate organizations as they report financial and spatial data about funded ACAP projects through the online geographic information system (GIS). Users can access the support website through a button on the ACAP Reporting Tool login page.

The contents of the site include tutorials, frequently asked questions, and contact information for tech support staff. Within the "GIS Tools" page, users can find links to the Official ACAP Reporting Tool and the Playground ACAP Reporting Tool. The official tool is where documentation of funded best management practices (BMPs) is submitted for official accounting. The new playground tool was created to help users train and become more familiar with tool features, with that data saved to a temporary location and not included in official accounting.

Visit the "FAQ" page to find answers to frequently asked questions, such as how to create an account, reset a password, or upload a district manager's signature. The "Tutorials" page offers step-by-step written instructions and tutorial videos for various tasks within the ACAP Reporting Tool, such as how to create a worksite or process a replenishment. More tutorials and FAQs will be published soon. On the "Documents" page, users can access and download a suggested workflow sheet, which lists actions to be taken in the online reporting tool at different checkpoints during a project contract. If you missed the ACAP Reporting Tool Workshop at the June 2024 ACAP Ag Conservation Con, the presentation is also available to view here!

From the support site homepage, users can click on the "Staff Map" button to view the ACAP Technical Assistance Map. This web map displays the locations and contact information for CACAT team members and State Conservation Commission (SCC) regional contacts who provide technical assistance for ACAP. For any questions or further guidance on ACAP GIS tools, please email acapGISsupport@psu.edu to get in touch with Elaine Hinrichs, GIS Technical Support Lead and Trainer, and Ben Maus, GIS Specialist.
