About The In-Person Workshop
Gain practical experience in identifying and curating thrips (Thysanoptera) during this hands-on, full-day workshop focused on specimen preparation, slide mounting techniques, and the use of taxonomic keys. Participants will work with both self-mounted and pre-prepared specimens while learning key morphological characteristics used in thrips diagnostics, proper handling and curation methods, and effective identification strategies. Designed for diagnosticians, students, researchers, extension personnel, and others interested in insect identification and applied entomology, this workshop provides applied training to strengthen diagnostic and curation skills.
