About the Live Webinar
Alzheimer's disease and other dementias can affect memory, thinking, and behavior in ways that make everyday life—and caregiving—more complex. In partnership with the Alzheimer's Association®, Penn State Extension offers The Empowered Caregiver, an evidence-based community education program designed to support those caring for a person living with dementia. The "Supporting Independence" session focuses on practical strategies to help individuals with dementia remain involved in daily activities by providing the right level of support, balancing safety with independence, and setting realistic expectations as needs change.
This event is being offered at no charge to participants.
Registration is required to receive the link to access the webinar.
A link to the recorded webinar will be emailed to registrants within ten business days after the live event. The recording will be accessible for six months from the event date.

A link to the recorded webinar will be emailed to registrants within 10 business days after the live session occurred. You will have access to view the recording for six months from the date of the event.
