About the In-Person Workshop

Alzheimer's disease and other dementias can cause changes in memory, thinking, and behavior that affect daily life, creating challenges for caregivers. In partnership with the Alzheimer's Association®, Penn State Extension offers The Empowered Caregiver, an evidence-based community education program. The "Responding to Dementia Behaviors" session explores common behavior changes as a form of communication, shares non-medical approaches to managing these behaviors, and helps caregivers recognize when additional support may be needed.

This event is being offered at no charge to participants.

Registering before the event is encouraged and appreciated!
