About the In-Person Workshop
Alzheimer's and other dementias cause changes in memory, thinking, and behavior that can interfere with daily life and make caregiving challenging. In partnership with the Alzheimer's Association, Penn State Extension presents "The Empowered Caregiver: Exploring Care and Support Services," an evidence-based community education program offered in person to support those caring for individuals with dementia. This session explores how to prepare for future care decisions and navigate changes over time, including respite care, residential care, and end-of-life care. Participants will gain practical information, tools, and guidance to make informed decisions and connect with available support services in their community.
This event is being offered at no charge to participants.
