Summit for Water Educators Returning in 2018

The time and effort we put into restoring, cleaning, and protecting our streams and rivers can be easily undone by the next generation of decision makers. All types of educators are needed to help share the valuable message of water stewardship. Environmental educators, nature center directors, scout leader trainers, camp directors, curriculum coordinators, afterschool program educators, Envirothon coordinators, classroom teachers, extension educators, and others can help lead the way!

In 2018, Penn State Extension will host the Dive Deeper Summit. This will be the fourth biennial offering of the summit, on Thursday, September 20, 2018. It is an affordable day full of great speakers, hands-on workshops, and idea sharing that will enhance water education programming across the Mid-Atlantic Region. Educators of all types are encouraged to save the date on their calendars. Anyone can learn more about the Dive Deeper Summit by reviewing details from the previous three events at the Dive Deeper Summit website.

A request for proposals to be a presenter or exhibitor at Dive Deeper IV will be sent out in early January. We will be seeking interested speakers and exhibitors to share their knowledge, experiences, and resources about water. Registration will open late-Spring 2018. Act 48 Credits will be made available to those who are interested.
