StrongWomen Strength Training Program Offered

Penn State Extension will be offering StrongWomen classes in Carlisle and New Cumberland this fall. This strength training program is geared for middle-aged to older women and men and is based upon years of research on how strength training and proper nutrition improve the health of all ages. This is you chance to increase your strength, bone density, balance and energy. Classes meet two time a week for one hour sessions. Instructors will be Sally Bigham for Carlisle and Sandy Tobias for New Cumberland.There is a fee to participate in this program. Participants may need to provide their own hand weights and ankle weights. mandatory paperwork must be completed in order to participate in the program and individuals age 70 or over must get a doctor's permission.
