About The In-Person Workshop
The Penn State Master Gardeners invite home gardeners of all experience levels to "Spring into Gardening," a day of workshops, hands-on learning, and seasonal inspiration paired with a community plant sale. Keynote speaker Kevin Kelly—award-winning Master Gardener of Dauphin County—will lead a photographic tour of his favorite plants, sharing insights through vivid imagery and storytelling that sparks curiosity and confidence for the growing season ahead. Designed to energize spring planning and build practical know-how, this event offers research-informed guidance and peer-led instruction that helps gardeners make thoughtful, sustainable choices for their home landscapes. Whether refining your approach or exploring something new, "Spring into Gardening" provides a welcoming space to learn, connect, and grow alongside a trusted community of volunteer educators committed to helping gardens—and gardeners—thrive.
