Each year, thousands of farmers raise soybeans on Pennsylvania farms. Pennsylvania Soybean Board invites all farmers to participate in the Pennsylvania Soybean Yield Contest.
The contest showcases the production practices of some of the state’s top growers, and is designed to focus farmer attention on agronomic and management skills that will increase profitability.
The state is divided into five regions based on maturity maps. The contest rewards quality as well as yield. State-wide and regional winners will receive an educational trip to the Commodity Classic.
Any farmer who farms in Pennsylvania and grows 5 acres or more of soybeans within the state is eligible to enter the contest. The state is divided into five regions. Prizes are awarded to the statewide winner and to the top producer in each region. Complete information on contest rules and registration is available on the Pennsylvania Soybean Board website. Â Your entry must be submitted by September 1. There is no cost to enter.
A separate harvest report form must be submitted by November 15.
