Sheep and goat producers should have a good understanding of a variety of financial aspects related to their operation. New producers should begin with assessing what resources they have available on their farm and what resources they will need to purchase. All producers should develop a budget to help them better manage finances throughout the year. Producers may also wish to analyze how changes in lambing or kidding percentages, weaning weights or death loss impacts their business. Finally, producers should also take time to look at long terms plans for maintaining, growing or down-sizing their operation.

Who is this for?

What will you learn?
