This presentation will provide you with information critical to understanding the problems we will face in feeding horses with this year’s forage crop. With the rainy growing season, there was limited opportunity to harvest hay properly, resulting in wet hay with increased risk for mold growth, mycotoxin production, and botulism disease. Recognition of these issues along with potential management strategies will be addressed.
