About The In-Person Workshop

Join Penn State Extension and the Penn State Agriculture and Environment Center's Greening the Lower Susquehanna Program for Riparian Buffer Maintenance, a hands-on opportunity to support the health of our waterways. Riparian buffers are among the most cost-effective tools for protecting water quality, but they require care in their early years to thrive. During this session, you will learn the fundamentals of buffer maintenance and put your knowledge into action by assisting with the upkeep in a previously planted buffer. Roll up your sleeves and make a tangible impact on local stream health while gaining valuable skills in conservation stewardship.
