Urban farmers are most often growing in unique conditions that require the use of raised beds. Raised beds may provide a solution to growing in small spaces that have limited to no topsoil, or in many cases, topsoil with limiting factors such as contaminants. Further, the intensive nature of raised bed production requires special considerations when it comes to soil fertility. This growing collection of resources provides producers with information on the basics. Check back often as we continue to add material that will assist in raised bed production.
