About The In-Person Workshop
Ready to transform your yard but unsure where to begin? This hands-on, three-session workshop guides participants through a practical, step-by-step approach to designing a section of their residential landscape, tailored to Southwestern Pennsylvania conditions. Working in small "Design Teams," participants will develop a plan for a real local site while applying the same techniques to their own yards. Whether managing a sloped hillside, heavy clay soil, shaded areas under mature trees, or sunny spots ideal for pollinators, attendees will gain hands-on experience creating functional, attractive landscapes. Bring your ideas, challenges, and photos of your yard, and leave with both inspiration and a concrete plan ready for action this season.
