Rain Garden Plants: Pink Turtlehead

Leaves are toothed and shiny. Red stems are topped with spikes of snapdragon-like flowers. Divide in spring. Do not cut down in winter; wait for spring cleanup. You can control the size of the plant by pinching in spring, but you run the risk of pinching off the flower buds.

Spreading habit: Upright; colonizes; with adequate moisture, large clumps will develop over time
