Willonda McCloud is a dedicated leader and visionary with over eight years of experience at Bright Side Opportunities Corporation, where she currently serves as CEO. Under her leadership, the organization has flourished in its mission to empower and uplift the local community through innovative programming, strategic partnerships, and comprehensive services.
A passionate advocate for community development, Willonda has played a key role in fostering leadership and collaboration, drawing on the foundational vision established by Bright Side's founders. Her focus on building sustainable programs that address both immediate needs and long-term growth has led to initiatives such as the culturally relevant food pantry and a wide array of community services, including youth STEM camps, senior fitness programs, and vocational training.
Willonda’s commitment to creating accessible opportunities is evident through her work with diverse stakeholders, including Union Community Care, The Haven, and the Office of Vocational Rehabilitation, among others. Additionally, she has spearheaded fundraising efforts to enhance the center’s infrastructure, including securing resources to improve the building’s accessibility.
