Striving to make a difference in communities across Pennsylvania, Sara Stringfellow is an analyst at GMS Funding Solutions, a Carlisle-based consulting firm specializing in public funding and financing. As a member of the GMS team, she works diligently to secure funding and financing for the advancement of transformative community and economic development projects.
As a sophomore in college, at age 20, Sara became the youngest member in history to hold a seat on Lock Haven City Council, where she served three and a half years as a councilwoman. Sara has always believed in chasing big dreams and making a difference in the world.
After graduating from Lock Haven University with a Bachelor of Science in Secondary English Education, Sara went on to make a difference as a public school teacher. She spent four years teaching 7th grade English Language Arts in inner city Harrisburg, all while obtaining a certificate in English as a Second Language and a Master's Degree in Teaching and Curriculum from Penn State University.
As her diverse career record highlights, "You may not end up where you thought you were going, but you will always end up where you were meant to be."
Today, Sara lives in Camp Hill with her four-year-old golden retriever, Haven.
