Lisa Doty lives in Clearfield County with her husband and best friend, Jim Doty. Jim and Lisa are the proud parents of eight children and ten grandchildren. Lisa adores her canine best friend, Bear along with their two cats, Trax and Teddy. Family is important to Lisa and is the greatest blessing in her life. Jim and Lisa have hosted Lisa’s yearly family reunion for several years. In a time when this tradition is quickly fading in many families, Jim and Lisa feel that keeping the thread of family relationships is imperative to the legacy they will one day leave behind.
Lisa is a graduate of DuBois Business College where she earned an Associate in Specialized Business Degree in Accounting/Business Administration. After her college graduation, Lisa worked briefly in the transportation industry before being asked to join the admissions team at her alma mater. Lisa spent thirteen years at DuBois Business College starting as an Admissions Representative then was promoted to Corporate Director of Admissions and Corporate Director of Marketing. During her tenure at DBC, she had the opportunity to meet and influence many individuals across all three campuses—DuBois, Huntingdon, and Oil City.
After leaving her career in education, Lisa joined Community Action, Inc., in Jefferson and Clarion Counties. Lisa worked in the adult education department and the Supportive Services for Veteran Families program, but Lisa found her niche when she began doing in-home services for Jefferson County Children and Youth Services where she taught Nurturing Parenting and Financial Fitness during her time at CAI. This period gave Lisa the opportunity to learn about non-profit programs and how important these services are to the community. During this time, Lisa also attended Liberty University Online where she studied Psychology/Christian Counseling.
Lisa joined the JusticeWorks YouthCare, Inc., Jefferson County team in 2019 where her passion for helping families through in-home services grew by being able to focus on improving the lives of children through the plethora of services offered by this Pittsburgh-based company. In 2023, Lisa started JusticeWorks YouthCare, Inc., in Clearfield County. Working out of her car with one family to serve, quickly grew to serving many families throughout Clearfield County, which is the third largest county in Pennsylvania by area. Lisa is the Director who leads a team of ten staff members. The positive impact of the work Lisa and her team have in the lives of the families they serve is what drives her to meet each day with a humble heart and to strive to greet each situation without judgement and with compassion.
For many years, Lisa volunteered with the Punxsutawney Community Center where she managed a team of volunteers who operated the Jackson Theater. Lisa is a past member of the Punxsutawney Theatre Arts Guild where she enjoyed her time on the stage bringing the arts to life for audiences and she is a current member of Clearfield Arts Studio Theatre, Inc. Jim and Lisa are past Committee Members for the Jefferson County Republican Party and former foster parents for Jefferson County Children and Youth Services. Lisa is a current Board Member for the Clearfield County League of Social Services.
When not working or volunteering, Lisa enjoys relaxing at a campfire with her family and friends.
