Striving to see Pennsylvania dairy farmers succeed, Ethan McDaniel works as a District Sales Manager for Westway Feed Products, a liquid feed manufacturing company with a nationwide presence. Growing up Ethan worked in his family’s business, Bill Macks Ice Cream, located in Dover Pennsylvania and has been in business in its current location since 1958. Wanting to know more about where and how milk is made, Ethan enrolled in Penn State Universities College of Agriculture Sciences and graduated in 2013 with a degree in Plant Science and a minor in Agribusiness. Prior to working at Westway Feed Products, Ethan worked for Crop Production Services as a Sales Trainee.
Aside from working with dairy farmers on a daily basis, Ethan has been an asset to many Pennsylvania feed mills, having gone through the Kansas State Feed Manufacturing short course in August of 2024. Providing technical expertise from real life experience and education has made him a valuable resource to mill managers with his ability to troubleshoot problems and inefficiencies.
Ethan is passionate about the outdoors and exploring natural landscapes. He is an active member of the Round Top Ski Patrol, where he recently won the outstanding rookie of the year award. Patrolling gives Ethan the chance to practice wilderness medicine and provide an enjoyable experience for all of his local mountain’s guests. When the weather is warmer he can be found biking with his family or exploring caves up and down the east coast.
Currently, Ethan and his wife Holly live in York, with their one year old son, Finnley and three dogs.
