The Nutrient Management Program would like to let folks know there are no major version updates planned for the Nutrient Management Plan (NMP) and Nutrient Balance Sheet (NBS) planning tools this October 2026.
Please be advised that we may make a minor version update if the need arises
The current PA Act 38 nutrient management planning tools are:
- NMP Version 10.1 2025-10 (2007-2019 Excel)
- NBS Version 8.4 2026-04 (2007-2019 Excel)
Planners may use any NMP Version 10.x when planning for crop year 2027 and beyond.
Planners may use any NBS Version 8.x version when planning for crop year 2027 and beyond.
- Planners can use any minor version of the current planning tools if the completed updates didn't affect the completed planning scenarios.
- As a reminder, there is a detailed description of all the updates to the planning tools in the Version Updates tab of the NMP and NBS spreadsheet. It is also located in the most recent update posted on the website in the "Latest News" section.
