The Nutrient Management Program has updated the Nutrient Balance Sheet (NBS) Spreadsheet to Version 8.1. Several updates were added to resolve identified issues and provide additional information.
The updated NBS Version 8.1 can be found on the Nutrient Management Website in the planning tools section.
The following updates were made to version 8.1
1. Manure Group Input & Printout worksheets
Added a table showing the manure group use by season to the Manure Group Input & Printout pages. This information can be used to assist planners in completing exporter or broker agreements.
A new feature has been added to the Nutrient Balance Sheet (NBS) planning tool. A table will list the amount of a manure group that is planned by season, (Spring, Summer, Fall, and Winter) in a NBS. This information can assist planners when completing exporter or broker agreements.
The new table will be listed on manure group input and printout pages.
The Manure Group Input page will display the manure group amounts planned by season to the right of the manure analyses results.
The Manure Group Printout page shows the manure group amounts planned by season below the analyses results.

3. Previous NBS Version Transfers
Previous versions of NBS 6, 7, and 8.x files can be transferred to NBS Version 8.1.
As a reminder, there is a detailed description of all the updates to the NBS in the Version Updates tab of the NBS spreadsheet. It is also the most recent update posted on the website in the "Latest News" section.
