Pennsylvania Nutrient Management Program

The Pennsylvania Nutrient Management Program provides a comprehensive source of information about Pennsylvania's Nutrient Management Act (Act 38, 2005) Program, and associated technical guidance and educational information. It also provides limited information concerning related programs.

The web site has been developed and is maintained through a workgroup representing various partnering agencies actively involved with the Pennsylvania Nutrient Management Act Program. Contributions to this site represent the collective efforts of that workgroup.

New Planning Tools for Manure Management Plans

New planning tools are available for developing DEP Manure Management Plans: Excel and Word versions of Nutrient Balance Sheets (NBS) specifically for Manure Management Plans (MMP). These tools can be downloaded from the Penn State Nutrient Management website in the Manure Management Manual Program section.

The State Conservation Commission (SCC) has set up a new resource account for electronic submissions of Act 38 Nutrient Management Plans (NMP) and Act 49 Nutrient Balance Sheets (NBS).
