Penn State Extension Master Gardeners in 58 Pennsylvania counties are trained to answer residents’ questions about gardening, on topics such as soil testing, growing vegetables, plant selection, pruning fruit trees, common plant diseases, insect identification, lawn care, and more.
Penn State Extension Master Gardeners are University trained, knowledgeable volunteers who offer presentations on a wide range of horticultural subjects and environmental issues to garden clubs, municipal groups, and community organizations.
Pollinators need our help! Populations of all our pollinators are declining, including native bees, domestic bees, flies, beetles, and butterflies. They are affected by habitat loss, disease and contact with pesticides. But together we can make a difference.
Seed to Supper is an in-depth beginning gardening program that provides novice and more experienced gardeners the tools they need to learn how to successfully grow a portion of their own food on a limited budget.
