Come learn like a Master Gardener! Our new six-webinar Dig Into Gardening Series offers a sneak peek into the Penn State Extension Master Gardener basic training curriculum and its most critical topics. Dig into the science of gardening with engaging sessions designed for new and experienced gardeners alike, combining essential garden science with practical, research-based insights you can put to work right away.

The series includes six live webinars, each lasting ninety minutes. Sessions are led by Penn State Extension educators and Master Gardener volunteers and are structured to encourage engagement through polls and a professionally facilitated Q&A. Each webinar will also be recorded, so registered participants who aren't able to watch live are still able to enjoy the presentations.

Sessions include:

  • Garden Science Essentials
  • Vegetable Gardening
  • Entomology and Pollinators
  • Weeds and Invasives
  • Native Plants
  • Landscape Design

The series is scheduled to take place on Tuesday evenings, starting January 20 and running through February 24, 2026.
