Join the Central Pennsylvania Food Bank (CPFB) team and the Master Gardener volunteers for our collaborative Adopt a Pantry program which increases fresh food access to neighbors in need.

Vegetables which are eaten raw are harvested and separated from those that will be cooked before eating.

All community members are invited to volunteer to grow extra vegetables, herbs, and fruits specifically for any of the participating CPFB's pantries.  Find a pantry near you. During the 2025 growing season, we far exceeded our goals--with donations of more than 15,000 pounds of to the CPFB's participating pantries in the 2025 growing season.

In 2026, we welcome new and experienced gardeners, and master gardeners will help answer questions throughout the growing season. If you missed our late Winter kickoff meetings, you can view the recording here.  A recording of our summer collaborative meeting  (which focused on harvesting and safe food handling) is available for viewing. If you are looking for community gardening space, a list of current community gardens in Lancaster County is available.

We are pleased to partner with Fresh Food Connect, an app that helps growers track their donations throughout the season.
