The Gardens at the Middletown Grange offer a welcoming space for both learning and leisure.

Address: 576 Penns Park Rd, Newtown, PA 18940. The garden is located on the grounds of the Middletown Grange at the Penn State Extension Office.
Hours: Open daily from dawn to dusk, year-round.
Established: 2023 (Original Demonstration Garden), 2025 (Sensory Garden Added)
Type of garden: Native plants, pollinator-friendly plants, herbs, fruiting shrubs, and striking container plantings. The Sensory Garden is specifically designed to engage visitors through texture, fragrance, flavor, sound, and visual appeal.
Volunteers maintaining the garden: Ten to fifteen Master Gardeners
List of Plants: Visitors can explore plant details via QR codes located in the raised beds of the demonstration garden. In the Sensory Garden, all plants are clearly labeled for easy identification.
Description of the gardens: These gardens serve as a living classroom, demonstrating how native and pollinator-friendly plants can be both ecologically beneficial and visually appealing. Plant selections are chosen to attract butterflies, birds, and beneficial insects while creating a rich, multi-sensory experience. Several beds feature herbs, including some suitable for making tea.
Designed with comfort in mind, the gardens provide a peaceful setting for rest and reflection, with benches—including convertible picnic seating—throughout the space. The Little Library offers a curated selection of gardening books to browse during your visit.
