Pennsylvania 4-H’ers Successful at the National 4-H Poultry and Egg Conference

The team placed second overall in the Poultry Judging Contest, just 1.3 points (out of 4500) behind first place winner Georgia. Pennsylvania was first in the Market Egg Division, second in Production Hens and Oral Reasons Division and fourth in the Market Poultry Division.

Miller was recognized with the PA Poultry Youth Service Award at the Youth Poultry 101 Conference on May 2.
Joshua Cassar was first place overall individual. Penn State Students Place Second Overall in National Collegiate Poultry Judging Contest.

For the second straight year, students from Penn State's Department of Animal Science placed second overall at the USPOULTRY Foundation Ted Cameron National Poultry Judging Contest held at Louisiana State University on April 15-17. Josh Cassar, Lansdale, PA, was first place over all individual.
