Local/Regional Support Networks

Regional teams have been developed to focus on specific needs of military youth in various parts of the state. Both state and regional teams strive for increasing community awareness of issues, both physical and emotional, faced by these youth.

Military Youth Team of Central PA

The Military Youth Team of Central PA is a dynamic group of partners working together to support military youth in the Central part of the state through a variety of outreach efforts.

The Military Youth Team of Central PA consists of representatives from Penn State Extension 4-H, The Family Center at Temple University, PA National Guard Child and Youth Program, Easter Seals of Western and Central PA, Luthercare, Red Cross, Defense Logistics Agency Installation Support at Susquehanna Child & Youth Development Services, Navy Reserves, Disability Rights Network,  and US Army Recruiting Bn – Harrisburg. 

The 2014-2015 Military Connected Youth Local/Regional Program Support Grants are funded through a partnership of U.S. Army, Child, Youth, and School Services and U.S. Department of Agriculture/National Institute of Food and Agriculture under Kansas State University special project number 2010-48661-21868.
