The PA 4‑H State Shooting Sports Contest will continue as a single‑weekend summer event, with a renewed focus on strengthening the identity of the event and expanding opportunities for youth members.
Updates include reviewing and refining events offered in each discipline to include recreational classes, such as Bare Bow in Archery and Prone Pairs in Air Rifle, that better serve youth just beginning their shooting sports career. These changes are designed to increase participation, improve access for a wider range of members, and better prepare those selected to represent Pennsylvania at the National Shooting Sports Championship.
