Ages 5 to 8

4-H Cloverbuds is an exciting 4-H program for 5- to 8-year old children in Pennsylvania. Like the 4-H program for older youth, Cloverbuds can help youngsters grow into competent, caring and contributing members of their families and communities. The program offers noncompetitive, age-appropriate activities designed to help children learn about life.

Ages 8 to 18

Anyone aged 8 to 18 by January 1 of the current year, living anywhere in Pennsylvania, can join the program.

Parents are welcomed as helpers at home or as club volunteers.

No uniforms are required. Since the 4-H program is supported through other resources, the only cost to members is typically a small fee to help cover a portion of the cost of educational materials, club support, or project materials. Anyone who is unable to pay a requested fee can discuss options for financial assistance with the 4-H leader or county extension educator.

Many 4-H members choose to join a local or countywide club. Clubs provide opportunities to make new friends, learn from volunteer adult leaders, and gain skills in many project areas.
