Attendence Rules

For Teen County Council and the Exchange 4-H clubs

Attendance policy for Teen County Council 4-H:

  • Effective immediately, county council members must attend at least 7 of the 10 meetings held annually.
  • If members contact a leader or Marlene with a valid reason why you are missing the meeting, you will be excused. Attendance starts for new 4-H members after the meeting when they join.
  • New members will not be accepted after the April meeting.
  • Consequences of not meeting these requirements: Can not participate in club trips, fun functions, etc. without paying their own way.

Attendance policy for Exchange 4-H Club:

  • Effective immediately, Exchange Club members must attend at least 7 of the 10 meetings held annually. If members contact Karen Hawkins or Marlene with a valid reason why you are missing the meeting, you will be excused. Attendance starts for new 4-H members after the meeting when they join.
  • New members will not be accepted after the April meeting.
  • In regards to fundraisers: On the years the group travels: Individual accounts will be kept. If a member participates in a fundraiser and the profit is $50, then $50 will be credited to that 4-H member. The cost of the trip, minus the amount raised will equal the amount that a member will owe for the year.
  • In the year that the club hosts: Fundraising will be done as a group. When money is made through fundraising, the profit will go into the general account. If the expenses of hosting are more than what was raised through fundraising, the balance will be divided by the number of club members.
  • For example: If the cost of hosting equals $2500 and $2000 was raised through fundraisers, then the remaining $500 would be divided between the number of club members and paid by the members.
  • Members can chose to fundraise or simply pay their share for the year, whether it is a hosting or traveling year.
  • Consequences of not meeting these requirements: Can not participate in club activities --- can not travel with the group to another state or participate in hosting activities in the years Venango hosts.
