4-H Embryology Program

During the 4-H Embryology Program, students develop and understanding of biology through direct experiences with living things, observation of embryo development, instruction in avian life cycles, and the basics of poultry production. Students listen, observe, experiment, and apply their knowledge to real-world situations while incubating twelve fertile chicken eggs. The 4-H Embryology Program is a four-week program in which fertile eggs are incubated and hatched in the classroom. This program is for students in grades three to eight. Registration closes for the embryology program on February 1 and space is limited. We typically run two sessions - one in March and one in April.
