Northampton County offers a variety of awards to 4-H members and leaders in the county. Applications and records are always due to the county 4-H office by the first Monday in October.
PDC Award and Center Board Award: Award application due the first Monday in October
County Achievement Record (CAR): At the end of each project year, 4-H members are encouraged to document their achievements for the year using this achievement record.
Clover Award: 4-H participation can be tracked through this statewide achievement program. There are multiple levels with members completing one level per year. Completing levels gives members a full 4-H experience.
4-H Excellence in Leadership Award: This award recipient is selected by our Northampton County 4-H Ambassador teen members. The recipient can be a member OR leader who the Ambassadors feel have exemplified excellence in leadership. This is a person who the Ambassadors feel works tirelessly for the program, teaching, encouraging, and supporting members and leaders.
Friend of 4-H Award: This is an award given to a person or business who is neither a volunteer nor a member of 4-H who has provided significant support to the 4-H program in Northampton County.
Additional awards: Members are also recognized and awarded for club officer books, club memory books, Round Up Best in Show recipients, and Hoof Hours within the horse program. Each year, two delegates from our program are also selected to attend the premiere 4-H event: National 4-H Congress in Atlanta, Georgia.
