Northampton County 4-H Ambassadors

County Ambassadors help others understand how 4-H positively affects the lives of young people by addressing youth involvement in their community.

Northampton County 4-H Ambassadors have been busy the last couple of weeks learning all the ins and outs of Penn State Extension and the Pennsylvania 4-H Program. Ambassadors had the opportunity to hone skills to help them be more successful community leaders. This year Ambassadors will be regularly meeting with the 4-H Educator to help advocate for and promote the Northampton County 4-H Program.

Activity included workshops on the following:

  • Teambuilding 101
  • 4-H Program Structure
  • Government 101
  • Pennsylvania Counties
  • Presentation and Public Speaking Skills
  • Citizenship: Local, County, and State
  • Northampton County 4-H Community / Opportunities
  • Community Service

The team has grown to include five 4-H members: Danielle Ford (2015), Claire Smith (2016), Kate Ruggiero (2016), Brittany Fistner (2017), and Kallie Manieri. The group plans to host the following events in 2017: "Clover Days" at Tractor Supply, A Green and White Gala, and assist with the Northampton County 4-H Round Up's "Find Out Fair"!
