As the Pennsylvania 4-H Week came to a close last Saturday March 21, 2015 Clearfield County 4-Hers continued to spread the word of making the best better.

This year the Clearfield County 4-H Clubs again, promoted their 4-H Spirit throughout the community. Clubs participated in many events including two county-wide opportunities to spread awareness and come together as the Clearfield County 4-H Program.

All Clearfield County 4-H Members were able to come out to participate in a fun, St. Patrick's Day and 4-H Green Skating Party at Skate Station, in Clearfield, PA on March 17, 2015. The event had a great turnout with many members bringing friends and all those attending also shared canned goods that were donated to our local food bank.

Clubs were also challenged to participate in the annual 4-H Week Window Display Awareness Contest. Clubs were encouraged to contact local businesses in their communities and create a display to showcase what 4-H means to them! Themes for this year’s contest were either “#iam4-H” or “If you can dream it, you can do it!.” 4-H clubs participating then submitted photos to the county level for judging where the following winners were selected:

First Place-Free Spirit 4-H Club

Second Place-Silver Stirrup 4-H Club

Third Place-Thundering Hoofbeats 4-H Club

Fourth Place-Town & Country 4-H Club
