| Twig blight and canker | Common or European privet (Ligustrum vulgare), twigs die. Cankers have pinkish fungal fruiting structures. Affected bark splits, and plants die when girdled. | Glomerella cingulata | Plant-resistant cultivars such as 'Amure', 'California', 'Ibota', or 'Regal'. |
