06:30 pm Why Natives & Sheet Mulching Participants will learn why native plants are vital for pollinators. We will cover sheet mulching and walk participants through the simple, no pesticide, no till steps for preparing the planting area. Master Gardeners will be available for individual assistance in assessing your future garden site. Soil test kits are suggested, but not required, and may be purchased during class.

06:30 pm Plant Species Participants will learn how each plant species, included in the pollinator garden plan, were selected from the results of a Penn State Native Pollinator Trial. Pictures of these plants in bloom and other interesting details, including some of the beneficial insect visitors you may observe, will be shared.
Soil test results will be interpreted on a one-on-one basis. Questions and comments on your garden progress are welcomed.
Optional: A professionally designed pollinator garden plan that includes all of the plants required will be available for pre-order.

06:30 pm Plant Plugs We will cover proper care and planting of plant plugs. The optional pre-ordered pollinator garden plants, ordered earlier in the series, will be ready for pick-up.
