About The In-Person Workshop
Create a thriving habitat for bees, butterflies, and other beneficial pollinators by learning the principles of pollinator-friendly gardening. Explore the Slippery Rock Area Parks and Recreation Pollinator Garden, an educational project of the Penn State Extension Master Gardener program, then discover how to design, establish, and maintain a garden that supports pollinators throughout the growing season. Learn about site preparation, garden design, and native shrubs and perennials that provide valuable food and habitat while gaining guidance on certifying your garden as pollinator-friendly through extension.
