Description

Crop yield and quality depend on effective application of agricultural chemicals. Proper maintenance of sprayers can save you money, improve the performance of the pesticides, and protect the environment.

This asynchronous, self-paced course discusses the importance of maintaining and cleaning sprayers immediately after use. Through a combination of videos and short readings, you gain a solid understanding of why, when, and where to clean your pesticide sprayers. Learn what sprayer parts to clean, cleaning steps, and about common tank cleaning agents. A focus of this course is the importance of cleaning your sprayer in a location and manner that properly disposes of the rinsate generated. After each video, you can check your learning with quick ungraded questions.

By successfully completing this course, including passing a final quiz, you can earn 1 Pennsylvania Department of Agriculture (PDA) core credit, as well as a certificate of completion.
