Commercial & Public Applicator Pesticide Short Course will help build a foundation of knowledge about safe and proper handling and use of pesticides.

Topics covered in the study materials will be reinforced to prepare applicators to take the Pennsylvania certification exam. New applicators are not required to attend this class before taking the exam, but it may help you prepare.

Certification Exam Study Materials

Study materials are not included with the registration fee. All participants are responsible for bringing their own core and category certification examination training materials to the class.

Order your training packets in advance to make sure they arrive in time for you to use during the course. If you are planning to use study packets that were previously purchased, please be aware some materials were updated. Please be sure your study materials include the updated manuals.

Scheduling Your Exam

The fee for the Core exam for commercial and public applicators is $50, and each Category exam is $10. The Private Applicator exam is free of charge. Please bring a check or money order payable to "Commonwealth of Pennsylvania" on the day of the exam. Cash and credit cards will not be accepted. More information will be provided at the training.
