Master Gardeners of Lehigh and Northampton Counties are offering a spring preorder sale featuring 20 carefully selected species of native plants. Chosen to thrive in a wide range of conditions—from full sun to full shade—these plants provide bloom interest throughout the growing season, along with structure and visual appeal in winter. The selection includes sedges, grasses, and groundcovers that support wildlife and enhance resilient landscapes and features several varieties that are typically difficult to find at local garden centers.
Plants being offered are landscape plugs with well-developed root systems. These plants are economical, easy to handle, and should establish readily when planted under appropriate conditions and given proper care. Each species develops at its own pace, with some establishing more quickly than others. As the saying goes, in the first year these plants "sleep," the second year they "creep," and the third year they "leap."
Plugs are sold in single-species bundles for $20. Each bundle includes 4 or 5 plugs, depending on the variety. Browse the Plant Catalog to explore available species and detailed plant information.
4-Plug Bundles (single-species)
Shorter plugs used for species with generally more fibrous and shallow roots.
