Penn State Dairy Cattle Nutrition Workshop

This annual workshop provides applied dairy nutrition information and training to feed industry professionals. There is something for everyone and plenty of opportunity for you to personalize your agenda to match your interests. We strive to present practical and timely issues for the dairy feed and nutrition industry, and our attendees consistently rank this training opportunity as one of the premier events in the Northeast.

2017 Workshop

The 2017 Penn State Dairy Nutrition Workshop was held November 15-16 at the Holiday Inn in Grantville, Pa., with a record 630 people attending from 33 US states and 12 foreign countries. Proceedings are available at this link.

Continuing Education Credits

This conference was approved for up to 17 ARPAS continuing education units depending on the sessions you attended. The credits may be broken down as follows:

Total of 9 for November 15

  • Preconference: 4 credits
  • Workshop 1: 1.5 credits
  • Workshop 2: 1.5 credits
  • Evening Session: 2 credits

Total of 8 for November 16

  • Breakfast: 1 credit
  • General session: 2 credits
  • Workshop 1: 1 credit
  • Workshop 2: 1 credit
  • Workshop 3: 1 credit
  • Postconference: 2 credits

The Pennsylvania State University College of Agriculture is a pre-approved continuing education provider for Pennsylvania-licensed veterinarians and veterinary technicians. Veterinarians can earn up to 17 continuing education credits for this workshop. Veterinarians from other states are encouraged to request reciprocal approval. Future Workshops

Mark your calendars now for the 2018 workshop, to be held October 31 through November 1 at the Red Lion in Harrisburg, Pa. Registration information will be available in the summer of 2018.

We expect to return to the traditional mid-November dates in 2019, but do not have those dates confirmed at this time.
